Crucifix from the back of a chasuble, or possibly from an antependium, entirely worked in raised metal thread embroidery. The cross is in two parts and worked in a zigzag pattern to resemble wood. The body of Christ is in finely modelled raised work; the plaque with INRI, the loincloth and the skull and cross bones are applied. Some details are in purl, others in heavier plied metal thread.
