Standing half length portrait of St. John the Evangelist. His body is turned slightly to the right and he holds a book with his left hand and writes in it with a quill pen. He has curly hair and his eyes are directed to the page on which he writes. His mouth is open, showing teeth. The folds of his robe are angular and the overall effect is mannered.
